Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. As usual St. Cecilia’s gathered to commemorate the occasion. Mrs. Bretherton and the GIFT team planned and led the liturgy with poignant music and carefully selected readings. Members of the GIFT team, along with Mr Barden and Mrs Bretherton distributed the ashes. Mr Nelson began the liturgy by reminding us all of the importance of significance of penance and self-reflection. The service was lovely and all staff and pupils received the ashes to mark the start of Lent.
