A number of students had their work selected for this year’s inaugural Clitheroe Contemporary Art Festival over the weekend. It was a fantastic event held over several venues in the town, with work by the students on show alongside that of professional artists. Congratulations to Mia Pye, Faye-Stacey Higgins, Oscar Riding, Isobel Gorton and Gracie Lloyd. It is a testament to their skill and hard work that their artwork sat proudly amongst that of the professionals. Particular congratulations go to Isobel Gorton, whose work was given a ‘highly commended’ award by the judges. Well done all, and if you didn’t get a chance to go to this year’s first ever festival then it has been confirmed again for next year and we can highly recommend it!
