At St Cecilia’s RC High School, we have a calendared plan of assemblies with a theme based on the liturgical year.
Assemblies are held weekly for each Year Group (7-11) and are led by the Senior Leadership team, the Head of Year, and their team of form tutors.
Students take part in Collective Worship including these assemblies. In this respect, they bear witness to their faith. Each form prepares and delivers an assembly to their peers with a little help from either their Form Tutor, or the School Chaplain.
Occasionally, guest speakers are invited into school to address topical local or international issues. One group that visits our school annually is the Gideon Society who kindly distribute a Bible to every Year 7 pupil as part of their transition into St Cecilia’s.
Daily prayers are provided by the Chaplain to support collective worship throughout the year.
