As part of National careers week we took a group of year 8 students to media city in Manchester to a Cyber first day on Tuesday 5th March. CyberFirst aims to help ensure the UK has a sustainable supply of diverse and high-quality individuals joining the cyber workforce in the future. Together with the UK government, it strives to equip young people with the digital awareness and skills they will need to enable them to pursue a career path in the sector.
Students were able to discuss and debate the use of AI, Virtual reality, digital footprint and also using devices to code. They were shown the pathways on how to get in to the industry. Students were able to see first hand what it would be like to work in the Technology Sector and to work in a major city. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and we look forward to working together with them in the future.
