In Art last week KS3 students took a look at how the Catholic festival of All Souls’ Day is celebrated in Mexico. El Dia de los Meurtos combines the idea of paying respects to the memories of loved ones who have passed away with celebrating in the idea of life after death. After some really thoughtful discussions from the pupils we created ‘Day of the Dead’ bunting to decorate the classroom as seen here.
