Children’s Mental Health week
As we enter Children’s Mental Health week, we are ever more reminded of the possible impact of current restrictions on young people. Children’s and young people’s emotions can seem scary and unpredictable at times. Although this can be a natural part of a child’s developing mind, we often naturally as parents, guardians and school staff take on the role of ‘fixer’.
Here are 10 different ways to acknowledge and validate their emotions, while also giving them the words to make sense and express what they are feeling.
