Strategy for pupils not completing work while in isolation
This is at each departments discretion and they will act according to their curriculum, time scale and plan
- Pupils can access homework club after school until all the work is competed after guided support and possible additional scaffolded resources from classroom teacher
- Pupils are issued a further deadline after additional support and scaffolded resources to complete in their own time. If the work is then not competed pupils will be issued a detention as per school policy
- Some departments are producing a booklet of all the work set which pupils are then asked to complete in their own time within a set deadline. If the work is then not competed pupils will be issued a detention as per school policy
- Some departments are recapping the work set in class and producing low stake tests, hinge questions and other responsive retrieval strategies to access gaps and plan accordingly for future lesson within their curriculum
We now have a new app to replace SMHW called Edulink One. All pupils will access their homework through this app as well as other day to day information like timetables etc. Parents can also access the app to keep up to date with their child’s school life.
