Last Half-term year 9 studied Islam. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed exploring another faith and it was decided that Mr Duffy’s class were going to begin a mosque project. The aim was to create a model mosque from any country of their choice, and present their research and final product. The results were fantastic, and it is a credit to the pupils that have dedicated themselves to the 6 week homework project. It also presented a dilemma for Mr Duffy as it was increasingly difficult to choose a winner. However, first prize was awarded to Alicia Eccles and Bethany Turner, who designed a mosque almost entirely out of lego, as well as a small scale model for practice. Here are some highlights below:
