In Year 7 pupils follow the Collins KS3 Science scheme of work. Each pupil will study aspects of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. There will be a test at the end of each unit as well as a larger exam at the beginning of June based on the work covered so far that year.

In Year 7, units studied are:

  • Explaining Chemical Change
  • Forces and their effects
  • Cells
  • Mixing, Dissolving, Separating
  • Getting Energy
  • Eating, Drinking and breathing
  • Elements, compounds and reactions
  • Looking at plants and ecosystems
  • Energy transfers and Sound
